Job Duties:

• Utilize AutoCAD and other programs to create drawings for specific projects based on preliminary sketches, concepts and data;

• Prepare detailed drawings of architectural plans and designs for structures and buildings 
  according to specifications from architects;

• Add details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques; Identify 
  potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality; Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards;

• Visit construction sites to collect measurements and dimensions as needed.

• Prepare multiple versions of designs for review by the architects; 

• Communicate with designers and architects to answer questions and prevent delays;

• Perform zoning checks and have general knowledge of building codes;

• Participate in the coordination with and respond to requests from clients;

• Prepare for and participate in presentations to clients, authorities having jurisdiction and others; Coordinate submissions to authorities having jurisdiction.

• Maintain knowledge of current codes and standards.

• Collect data of existing building and sites including materials and systems and record the data in the standard office procedures.

The incumbent to possess the following qualities:

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture

• Proficient in AutoCad, Revit, Sketch Up, Adobe Software and Rhino

• Technical intelligence with regard to building systems and having an attention to architectural details

• Design ability that is critically thoughtful, conceptually based and process-oriented

• Knowledge of Building Codes and regulatory standards

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
